Remote Support:Remote Support enables us to solve some problems without a site visit, and whilst it is not suited to every problem we encounter, it is ideal for certain situations, such as diagnosing software faults. We use the TeamViewer application to provide our Remote Support service and this allows us to simply and securely connect with your PC, even through a firewall. No installation is required and once you've given us permission to access your system, by means of a one use password, we will then be able to work with your PC as if we were sat right next to it. Remote Support can also be purchased by individuals and small businesses who are outside of our On-Site Support catchment area, ideal for remote workers or distant relatives. Is it Secure?TeamViewer includes full encryption, based on RSA key exchange and AES (256 Bit) session encoding. This technology is based on the same standards as HTTPS/SSL used by online banking and is considered completely safe by today's standards. The security key exchange also guarantees full computer-to-computer data protection. This means that even TeamViewer's routing servers are not able to read the data stream. In addition to the unique ID created for you, TeamViewer generates a session password which only you can view. This changes every time you choose to run the application and provides additional security against unauthorized access to your system. Activities such as file transfer require additional, manual acceptance by you. It is also not possible for us to to invisibly control your computer. The application is also digitally signed by Teamviewer, which is similar to a wax seal on an envelope. This shows that the contents are intact and haven't been tampered with. So when you download the application make sure the Name and Publisher show Teamviewer as per the image below.
